I was stuck for something to post today, and then I found I couldn't post until I was forced to watch a video advertisement.

You have all been here diligently for the past year, so you've hashed this through already.  But for me, it's news.

They are trying to force us to subscribe to paid accounts--at least I believe this is the reason for the annoying ads. I use them as a reminder to get up and do stretches or refill the iced coffee.

An alternative to Livejournal that started with fandom. There has been somewhat of a migration; there would be more, but there's some inertia because people don't want to leave friends. A lot of people dual-post.

I have a journal there that I don't use much, but I wanted to stake my name in case LJ ever became unbearable, which it has occasionally looked like doing:

The whole "you have to agree to reach each post" approval thing is pretty annoying. An extra gate in front of every single post. Somebody oughta tell these people that lawyers would have killed FB by now if that stuff mattered.

For me, when the ad pops up, I can just click the X in the upper right corner and it goes away immediately!
