So is this part of a pony fetish? I tried to google it but your blog is the first entry for pony rompers. Very recursive.

Well, "pony play" is the thing you should google if you want to know more about that.

I guess the pony rompers in the park don't have their own site.

Yay, great pix! That's me in the vest driving the green cart. That was such a fun day.

And I loove watching roller derby. Was just watching some bouts Friday night. If you ever come up to play any of the Boston teams, maybe I'll see you there. The Boston Massacre was smacking down the Cincinnati Rollergirls Friday night!

Ooo, are you the babe in the hat? So cool!

Maybe we'll be sending our travelling team, the Windy City Rollers, to your area someday. Do your gals skate on a flat track or banked track?

Yup, that's me in the cowgirl hat.

The teams up here do flat-track, and the Boston Massacre is our travelling team.

I'm too busy with my ponies to think about joining a team sport. But I'd love to brush up my skating and try to squeeze in a pick-up game if I could. My equestrian helmet would do just fine for that sport too. ^-^

I don't know if there is such a thing as a pick-up game of derby. It's a contact sport, and the women who derby work together two or three times a week, and it's frankly pretty freakin' gruelling if you're not very steady on your skates. We just scrimmaged for real tonight--no hits, but lots of booty blocking.

However, you could always ask the Boston Massacre gals if they ever open their practices, or maybe just go to skate & hang out at public rinks. That's where you may be able to get some action.

So do you ride four-legged horses as well as the ponies?

I've only ridden a bio-horse once. It was a lot of fun, but not quite as much fun as it was expensive. There are quite a few ponytrainers and ponies who have extensive riding experience.

I expect I would get slammed pretty good if I ever can slide into an open practice. But I'm a trained dancer and specialised in contact-improv style. So really good balance combined with other contact sports should help a little bit I'm hoping.

Hey, why not? Worst case, you get a dilly of a bruise out of it, and you can show it off for weeks.
